Oh silly Pandora. You ruin everything.
But don’t worry. I forgive you.
Cause for a moment, I felt hope. And it was wonderful.
Maybe for a second I thought that something might happen.
Maybe within a second it didn’t.

Yes, they were always right.
Hope is dangerous.
Hope can be deadly if you let it get you.

But how can you not?
When all you want is to believe.
When all anyone wants is to believe.

Some will say the world needs hope.
But does it?
Everybody hopes.
And you know what?
It doesn’t always feel that great.

And yet, I could beg to differ.
When you feel hope, you feel air.
Yet you are air.
Everything is light and breezy.
Everything is beautiful.
Everything is wonderful.

Give it back.
I want my hope back.
Hmm...well, last week I was feeling particularly emo, but don't worry. I'm generally a freakin' ray of sunshine. :-)

In case you don't get the reference to Pandora, it's from Greek mythology. Basically, Zeus got pissed off, so he sent the first woman ever: Pandora. The thing is, she was pretty much equipped with a box o' death, so she released stuff like famine and disease into the world. (The Greeks really thought something of woman, hey?) So what did she keep in the box? Hope. Now, that sounds cheerful, right? But in the Greek perspective, it's like, a curse. No matter how much you keep hoping, it will never get any better. The Greeks were a tad bit depressing.

Soo...that's basically what I was inspired by.
I love Greek mythology!
