Lust!

Colour: I went with black for the colour of lust simply because white is often a representation of purity, and is used in Western weddings to symbolize a wife's virginity. Naturally, the opposite of white would be black, which could perhaps be used to show the opposite of purity.

I wanted a more symbolic version of lust for my project simply because I got very tired of seeing "ooh sexy pose" to represent lustfulness. Instead, I furthered the "reverse wedding" idea.

The location is a beach because that would often be considered an ideal honeymoon vacation spot.

I gave the model a veil, but rather than it being white and delicate, it has a flashy, cheap looking heart, and is covered with black show-girl like feathers. I think this could show the idea that many have about lust, as people often confuse it with love, or they make themselves believe it's love, with flashy shows of affection.

Lastly, the bouquet. The next to catch the bouquet will be the next to be married in Western marriage tradition; however, rather than tossing it toward other people, the model is throwing the bouquet to the water, representing the throwing away of commitment which is a common theme with lust.

I don't normally do dual photos, but I wanted to show off the veil (made it myself!) and the picture of Rose was just too darn pretty!

your description of the photograph is great !!! , i love the thought and detail that has done into it =3 ! ( even the seagulls in the larger picture =3 !!! The detail of the veil is great <3 !!! , hand made nad very beautiful =3 ! i hope you use it again in a shot

Yeah, I quite like how the double shot turned out actually, so perhaps I'll be experimenting with something similar in the future.

Ahah I'm sure I'll find usage for the veil sometime in another shoot hopefully.
